Samkeh Hurra (Baked Fish with Tahini Sauce)

Inspired by one of the delicious dishes served at Rome Comes To Lebanon 2022, Samke Harra (spicy fish) is a classic Lebanese savoury dish and once you have tried it you won’t want to eat fish any other way! This edition’s recipe is derived from the wonderful “Sahtain!” Recipe Book and an all-time family favourite.

The Inaugural Rome Comes To Lebanon Event 2022

The evening of 25 June 2022 saw guests at Doltone House Sydney transported to another era at WLCU Sydney’s Inaugural Rome Comes to Lebanon Event. The Night commemorated over 700 years of Roman rule in Lebanon, a period which saw six Emperors come from our great Lebanon. In doing so, we celebrated the Roman and Lebanese cultures and the way they have evolved together.
