December 2023 witnessed two remarkable events hosted by the World Lebanese Cultural Union Sydney Inc., bringing together the community to celebrate Lebanese culture and honor literary excellence. The WLCU Sydney was one of many financial sponsors of “An Evening with Dr Charles Malik” on 12 December 2022, held at Australian Catholic University, Sydney. The event was organised by The Friends of Dr Charles Malik Committee Australia & Notre Dame University, Lebanon. The evening saw close to 200 people, including many dignitaries, gathering for the Australian screening of the film Charles Malik: A Universal Person.
