The WLCU Sydney has a Main Committee as well as a specialised Youth Committee which is predominantly focussed on catering to the interests and supporting the needs of the younger generations of our community.

CEDRIC BARAKAT
President of the WLCU Youth Committee
Career:
Cedric is currently studying for a Bachelor of Engineering and a Bachelor of Laws.

JACQUI WILLING
Secretary of the WLCU Youth Committee
Career:
Jacqui successfully completed her University studies in Media dueing 2019, and is now working full-time in marketing.
Interesting Fact:
Jacqui grew up in the Hunter Valley where her family operated a fruit shop in the main street of Cessnock.
Town/village of Lebanese origin:
Jacqui’s maternal grandparents hail from the village of Btorram, in the Koura District of Northern Lebanon.

CHRIS CHAAYA
Executive Member of the WLCU Youth Committee
Career:
Chris completed degrees in commerce and software engineering in 2019. He is currently working full-time as a software engineer/lead.
Interests:
Chris enjoys gaming and watching TV when he is not deep in his work! He also enjoys dabbling in a bit of tennis, self-taught guitar, as well as annoying his cousins with challenging math and logic riddles.

MIA CHAAYA

Career:
Mia is currently studying for a Bachelor of Engineering and a Bachelor of Laws.
Interesting Fact:
Mia completed Grade 8 Classical Piano while she was in Year 10 at High School.

GRACE HATEM
Executive Member of the WLCU Youth Committee
Career:
Grace is also the YALA (Young Australian Lebanese Association) Representative for Universities. Grace works as a tutor while studying Civil Engineering at University.
Interesting Fact:
Grace loves hunting and target shooting. When she is not taking part in these sports, you will find Grace gardening, cooking or baking.
