On Saturday night 22 March 2025, the World Lebanese Cultural Union (WLCU) of Sydney held its Triumvirate of Song distinguished event at The Lemnos by Clarence House to celebrate Lebanon’s greatest female artists of the 1970s and 1980s: Sabah, Fairuz and Majida El Roumi.

The magical evening was an unforgettable cultural experience of song, filled with authentic Lebanese cuisine, fine wine and spirits, soft drinks and Lebanese non-alcoholic specialties. Guests were treated to superb live music by singers and stunning professional dabke dancing. The evening featured interviews which exposed deep insights into the lives of these three extraordinary performers.

The evening was officiated by our well-versed MC Cedric Barakat (WLCU Sydney Youth Committee President). WLCU President for the Geographic Regional Council for Australia & New Zealand (GRC) Mr Antoine Karam and WLCU Sydney President Dr Shane Geha addressed the guests with keynote speeches. Mr Karam presented Dr Geha with an award on behalf of the GRC for his years of service and the outstanding success Dr Geha has made WLCU Sydney.

A special highlight of evening was the viewing of an interview of Dr Llew Kiek by Dr Geha. Dr Llew Kiek is an Australian musician who has received seven Aria nominations and won two Arias for his work. Dr Kiek completed his PhD on “An insight into the appropriation of European and Other musical signifiers in the music-theatre works of Lebanon’s Rahbani Brothers.” Based on his special experience, Dr Kiek provided superbly detailed insights into the lives and work of Fairuz and Sabah.

Guests on the night won a wonderful array of raffle prizes and a silent auction was conducted for the Official Triumvirate of Song artwork (featured below) by renowned artist Antony Makhlouf and a premium selection of international wines donated by Dr Geha. The net proceeds from the event towards supporting our cultural activities, but mostly to providing essential aid to the people of Lebanon in need.
